Dr Shahzad is currently serving as a President for the European Society for Translational Medicine. Dr Shahzad is faculty member at the School of Medicine, University of Colorado, USA. He is also serving as visiting professor at the First Affiliated Hospital and at basic medical school, Harbin Medical University, Harbin. Dr Shahzad is fellow of the Royal College of the Physician and Surgeons Glasgow, UK. Moreover, he is fellow of the American College of Rheumatologist.
He is one of the pioneer in translational medicine and working for the progress and advancement of the experimental medicine field. His current areas of interest include the development of the non invasive point of care (POC) biomarkers screening and diagnostics tools for application in clinical specialties. Moreover, he is interested in the development of easy modes of continuing education and training programs for the clinicians and scientist.
He is serving as Editor-in-Chief for the ‘New Horizons in Translational Medicine’ (NHTM) and ‘New Horizons in Case Reports’ (NHCCR) journals, published by the Elsevier.
Dr Shahzad edited the first textbook for the translational Medicine field ‘Translational Medicine: Tools And Techniques’ published by the Elsevier.
He was founding Editor-in-Chief for the CME educational resource center on Biosimilars, hosted by NHTM Journal and Elsevier.
Dr Shahzad is management committee member of the European Commission’s COST action program to Focus and Accelerate Cell-based Tolerance-inducing Therapies (A FACTT) and also for COST action program on the Development of a European-based Collaborative Network to Accelerate Technological, Clinical and Commercialisation Progress in the Area of Medical Microwave Imaging.
He has advised and participated in many advisory and scientific boards for several organizations and consultation for industry. Dr Shahzad is internationally known KOL and invited chair/speaker for numerous international conferences.
