Professional Certification in Pharmaceutical Medicine (PCPM)

Professional Certification in Pharmaceutical Medicine (PCPM) program is designed by the Academy of Translational Medicine Professionals (ATMP) to certify professionals with excellent skills and competence in the field of Pharmaceutical Medicine. The program specifically evaluate knowledge and experience in the following areas: drug discovery & development, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, data mining & management, epidemiology & ethics and translational medicine. Upon certification approval, successful individuals may use the postnominals ‘PCPM’

PCPM Accreditation

Professional Certification in Pharmaceutical Medicine (PCPM) program is accredited by the European Society for Translational Medicine (EUSTM).

Eligibility

PCPM program application is open to those who are professionally involved and experienced in Pharmaceutical Medicine. The program is especially suitable for:

  • Pharma Industry professionals (e.g., Pharmaceutical, CROs, Biotech)
  • Medical affairs personnel (President, Vice-president, Medical Directors)
  • Clinician Research Physicians
  • Medical Advisors & MSLs
  • Clinical trial leaders and managers

  • Academic faculty members and researchers

Application Process

Applicants must submit the online PCPM application form. After submission, based on defined parameters (The program specifically evaluate knowledge and experience in the following areas: drug discovery & development, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, data mining & management, epidemiology & ethics and translational medicine), the ATMP educational board will assign one of the following categories:

  • Category 1

    Applicants in this category will receive certification based on evaluation of their track records and experience without qualifying examination.

  • Category 2

    Applicants under this category must successfully complete the qualifying examination in order to become eligible for PCPM certification. Qualifying examination is held once a year at occasion of Annual Congress of the European society for Translational Medicine. Recommended reading literature list will be provided to the applicants upon registration.

  • PCPM fee (Annual): 300 US$
