Co-Host a Future EUSTM Congress

Bring the conference together in your city

20272029

EUSTM invites institutions and partners to co-host its biennial congresses — we are now accepting proposals for the 2027 and 2029 meetings.

The European Society for Translational Medicine (EUSTM) is a neutral global healthcare organisation (ICCA-verified association) whose objective is to enhance worldwide healthcare by accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into therapeutics. Each congress is a core forum for ground-breaking research and clinical developments under a single defined theme.

Recognition & benefits

Hosting an EUSTM congress positions your institution at the centre of an international scientific gathering, with tangible recognition and visibility.

Co-Organiser Status

The local host is positioned as co-organiser of the congress, with recognition and benefits agreed mutually with EUSTM.

National & Regional Visibility

The congress provides coverage and visibility for the host at national and regional level, as mutually desired.

Global Profile

For hosts on another continent, a Joint EU–Host Continent Congress raises the local institution’s work and profile on the world stage.

A particularly strong proposal may also be considered for a dedicated EUSTM Clinical Congress series in the local sponsor’s area of interest.

Hosting beyond Europe — a Joint EU–Host Continent Congress

Where a host is based on another continent, EUSTM will consider a ‘Joint EU–Host Continent Congress’ — bringing updated scientific and clinical knowledge directly to the host region while connecting its community to EUSTM’s international network.

Preparing a proposal

A proposal may be prepared by a city convention bureau or a professional congress organiser — but in every case it must be supported by a local host.

Should be a university, hospital, research institution, or national association or society — well reputed and actively engaged in the proposed theme.

Ideally the host has strong local industry connections (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices) to support sponsorship and help recruit local delegates.

The host may propose any of the conference themes, aligned to its institutional strengths and local expertise.

Biennial Congresses

Held every two years — the next editions open for hosting are 2027 and 2029.

Hosts Worldwide

Traditionally held in Europe, EUSTM warmly welcomes proposals from hosts on other continents.

Rolling Review

Proposals are reviewed by the EUSTM Board on an ongoing basis until a host is confirmed.

Conference Themes

EUSTM will consider any of the themes below for a forthcoming congress. Hosts are welcome to propose the theme that best aligns with their institutional strengths and local expertise.

How Proposals Are Assessed

Considerations & criteria

Each proposal is evaluated on the destination’s ability to meet a set of minimum criteria. Among the factors EUSTM considers:

The local host is actively involved in one of the EUSTM preferred themes.

The host holds a strong scientific or clinical reputation.

There is clear potential to recruit local delegates from the country or region.

The destination is accessible by major modes of travel.

The collaboration offers meaningful synergies between EUSTM and the host organisation.

A site visit is conducted for each location under consideration, including a meeting with the local bid committee.

Please note: EUSTM retains sole discretion over congress revenue, and revenue sharing with the host is not available.
