Yan Mei Goh
Yan Mei Goh is a Specialist Registrar in General Surgery in the Oxford Deanery, United Kingdom with a specialist interest in Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery. She read Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and graduated in 2012. In 2015, she was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Miss Goh has authored eight scientific publications and three MRCS revision books. She has 20 oral and poster presentations at international and national conferences.
Yan Mei Goh has a strong interest in surgical education and has achieved a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. She is very passionate about teaching and her interest has led to her current appointment as the UK National Lead, Course Director/Convenor and Tutor in Surgical Anatomy events and MRCS A revision courses for Medical Students and Foundation Year trainees. She has run these courses across 13 cities across the UK in the last year and aims to train younger trainees with an interest in surgery. She is in her second year of appointment as the President of the Organising Committee and Conference Lead for the International Academic and Research Conference (IARC) and an Executive Member of the Doctors Academy Summer School. Her research interest is focused in the field of digestive pathology and endocrinology, minimally invasive surgery as well as surgical education.
