Yen-Ching Karen Chen, ScD

Prof. Yen-Ching Chen received an M.S. degree and a Sc.D. degree from the Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, MA, respectively. She was a Project coordinator & research fellow of Channing Laboratory, Department of Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. She was an assistant professor of Institute of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan from 2007 to 2012 and has become associate professor since 2012. She is now the associate director of Master of Public Health Degree Program. Prof. Chen mainly interested in geriatric epidemiology (dementia, cognitive function, and osteoporosis), human genome epidemiology (genome-wide association study), and environmental epidemiology. In 2005, Prof. Chen received the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Scholar-in-Training Award. From 2009 to 2014, she was recipient of Academic Achievement Award, National Taiwan University.
